As the design director for Common Bond’s expansion and restaurant offerings refresh, we created a a 3-tier model for the architecture and interiors. The Fast-casual Bistro, Fine-dining Brasserie, and on-the-go locations respond to each type of service, location and demographic.
Our solution for the brand’s Bistro concept blends fast-casual convenience with upscale menu offerings. This hybrid location caters to an office clientele that demands fast, consistent service and after-hours opportunities. We focused the interior design around the beverage program: a welcoming bar and lounge area with cocktail-casual seating. The bar area shares similar designs with the downtown Houston Brasserie flagship location, keeping a similar look and feel for familiarity. The flexible seating of this restaurant design transitions from lunch-hour rush to post-work happy hours easily.
