We got in on the ground floor with Houston’s oldest organic Co-op. At the time we met, they didn’t even know they needed an architect or interior designer. They just knew they needed more room, more flexibility, and more members. Our strategic planning and design thinking approach is what would ultimately help them achieve their goals.
When we met the owners, they were operating once a week out of a church building. We listened to their vision for growth and brought in the experts to create a roadmap for growth. We analyzed the market data that showed a gap exactly where they wanted to be: educating the community about sustainable farming and healthy eating. Using this information, we crafted their brand, messaging, and offerings and designed a flexible layout to fit their new space in the Houston Heights.
Working alongside Hum Collaborative, we crafted the plan for initial growth, sustained customer interactions, new product and market opportunities, and a functional temporary space. Almost two years later, Central City Co-op is flourishing in their Houston Heights location, and their membership has grown exponentially. As the awareness and enthusiasm reaches another tipping point, we are looking into phase 2: a permanent location, continued business growth and expansion opportunities across Houston and beyond.
